For years I believed that I could self-direct my own personal fitness routines. But after 5+ years of effort at the ubiquitous discount gym, I found myself bulky in all the wrong places, plagued by negative medical biomarkers for weight and cholesterol, and limited by pain in my lower back, hip and knee. Then I found Fisique and TJ Patrikas. TJ’s academic training in Kinesiology, and his ruthless dedication to form and customized fitness routines, has made a world of difference in my fitness and overall health. My recent medical physical revealed significant improvements in Blood Pressure, BMI and cholesterol levels, and the pain in my lower back, hip and knee has vanished. I’ve worked with TJ 2-3 times per week for approximately one year. During that period, TJ has never missed an appointment, been late, or been less than 100% prepared for a fully customized approach to the issues I’m dealing with. Each workout is unique and regardless of what is occurring in the gym, you have 100% of TJ’s attention for the full period of your workout. While I am at the upper end of the age range for TJ’s clients, the need to improve mobility, strength and fitness only increases with time. TJ Patrikas (and Fisique Boston) are the perfect partners to achieve that goal.
I’ve been a Fisique member for several years. When the club revamped its layout (gone were the outdated weight machines, replaced by functional training elements such as squat racks, TRX training, kettle bells etc.) I was intrigued.
In addition to the change in equipment, the club introduced several very experienced personal trainers. With their low-key approach, I agreed to an introductory session.
I’m now a full year into training several times a week with TJ. He’s focused, organized and fully engaged with his clients. The physical changes I have witnessed are exciting but didn’t register until I had an annual physical where I was told that my body fat had dropped by 4 percentage points and all other markers were measurably better. TJ is as good as they come and I would recommend him unequivocally.
